Minutes of the Board Meeting – Jan 16, 2012

The regular meeting of the RFSC Board was held Jan. 16, 2012 at Julie Davi’s house, was called to order at 7:00 p.m.  Attendees were Julie Davi, Laurie Brand, Robbie Condit and Maria Lightfoot, Sid Tanu and Sousanna Arnold.  At 7:30 it is open to all club members, no members showed.

Falling Leaves Business

Falling leaves scheduled for Sept. 29 and 30th.

Gabi would like RFSC to add Theater on Ice to Falling Leaves.

New Business

Add Alumni news to the website.

Talked about removing Amanda and Ashly’s Banner.

The annual picnic is tentatively scheduled for May 20, 2012.  We would like to change locations from Deep Run Park.

Once a month USFSA has a open call at around 7:00 pm.  Maybe the board can take turns to listen in and report back.

Bulletin board: What is testing?  Why join the club? Where do I get skates? What can I do with skating?

Old Business

Reviewed web site.  Maria Lightfoot collected data for Angi to add to the website and reviewed at the meeting.  Angi was unable to attend tonight but will try make the Feb. meeting.

Laurie Brand found plaques for moves, dance and freestyle 12 x 15.  They hold 24 plaques. We thought we need 3 to start.   Julie Davi will talk to Brad about a location.  Do we need to worry about damage, should they be behind glass?  Need to locate names of past skaters who pasted there tests.

Next meeting is scheduled for Feb 19., at 7:00 pm at Julie Davi’s house.  All members are welcome to come at 7:30.
