Minutes of the Board Meeting – Oct 18, 2011

The regular meeting of the RFSC Board was held Oct. 18, 2011 at Julie Davi’s house, was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Attendees were Julie Davi, Sid Tanu, Robbie Condit and Maria Lightfoot. At 7:30 it is open to all club members, no members showed.

Falling Leaves Business

Hospitality: meal set-up and clean-up must have an adults present.

Hospitality: needs to purchase a thermos to keep milk cool. Ice needed to be changed frequently.

Hospitality: Soussanna’s soup was a must after judges came back from IJS judging at 10:00 am. They were very cold. They finished it off.

Hospitality breakfast: Next year Jenni Lee’s mom’s quiche can be served warm for breakfast with one Westhampton coffee cake and fresh berries.

Volunteer: The club needs to have people sign-up for Falling Leaves in the spring/summer. We had a low volunteer turn out this year. Falling Leaves increased in size from 180 to 209 applicants.

Robbie and Deanna Arnold need to get a goody bag (this has since been taken care of).

New Business

Test session: Next test session is scheduled for Dec.7.

Ideas for skater appreciation month.

Save raffle for annual picnic. Have members sign up for Falling Leaves.

Treasury: Once the club’s finances go above $50,000. The club needs to pay for an audit. The cost of an audit is about $3,000.

The 2010 treasure report was reviewed.

Items voted on:

The Club voted on stopping payments for all Qualifying competition entry fees as of Dec. 31, 2011.

Julie Davi, Maria Lightfoot, Sid Tanu, Robbie Condit voted for the removal.

Next meeting is scheduled for Nov. ?, at 7:00 pm at Skate Nation Plus. All members are welcome to come at 7:30.
